A WORD FROM THE Acts 1:8 MINISTRY PRESIDENT

As God is leading us to grow and increase his kingdom - we will continue to follow his command in the Acts 1:8 verse - “When the Holy Spirit comes upon you, you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and Judea, and in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Webster defines increase as: The act or process of becoming greater in number.  Following the Acts 1:8 verse - we are in the process of opening an office in Chicago.  The purpose of this office is to be a part of increasing Gods kingdom, and witnesses to the ends of the earth.

Here are some ideas for the month of July:
  • Help a needy family with school supplies
  • Send a card to someone in the nursing home.
How to share:
  • Tell them you are showing them Christ’s love in a practical way.
  • God’s love is free just as this gift is free.
  • Ask to Pray for them.
How to Connect:
  • Invite the person/family to your church.
  • Offer to give the person (s) a ride to your church.

STAFF PROFILE

God has blessed Acts 1:8 Ministry with a new Regional Director: Henry Mohn.

My wife, Sue, and I are excited about the opportunity that God has put before us at Acts 1:8 Ministry. Sue and I have served in full-time ministry for the past 25 years. I have served as the pastor of two churches and served on the staff of several others.  I have a Bachelor’s Degree with a double major in Elementary Education and Biblical Studies from Trinity Bible College and a Master’s Degree of Education from American Intercontinental University.

Several years ago God challenged my wife and me to make a major change to our family. At the time our son was 16 years old and our daughter was 14 years old. We were looking forward to being empty nesters within a few more years. God had different plans. Over the past six years we have adopted six children and we hope to adopt several more in the future. 

The first time I talked with Jeff Van Beaver I knew that this position was a perfect fit for me.  After all, my wife and I live Acts 1:8 on a daily basis as we minister to our family and those around us.

The Mohn family verse is James 1:22—”Do not merely listen to the Word and so deceive yourselves.  Do what it says.”  In other words – It’s Not Words. It’s Actions! (INWIA)
