A WORD FROM THE HOME OFFICE

The Vision of Acts 1:8 Ministry, “To create a culture for Christians to care, share, and connect people to Christ worldwide through Christian kindness”, has truly been blessed by God in 2008. So far this year, over 200 new churches began sharing the love of Jesus Christ by doing Planned Acts of Christian KindnessÒ (P.A.C.K.Ò) events, and over one million lives have been impacted with the love of Christ this year. And it’s not over yet!
In 2009, we are projecting to bring on 250 new churches which will impact approximately 300,000 new lives. The cost to facilitate a new church is $100.00. Our goal is to raise $25,000.00.
If God has laid it on your heart to help Acts 1:8 Ministry with this endeavor, we have enclosed an envelope for you to forward your gift.

TESTIMONIAL
"Our Planned act of Christian Kindness was a scotch tape giveaway for Christmas shoppers. At first, I thought the idea was a little gimmicky, but I realized what a positive way this outreach meets the needs of people in our community."

| Volunteer of the Month |
Our newest volunteer is #79 Ryan Pickett, starting defensive tackle for the Green Bay Packers. He stands 6’2” & weighs in at 330 lbs. He is a reliable anchor on the defensive interior. He is in his eighth NFL season and third in Green Bay as a primary run-stuffer and unsung leader of the defensive line.Though those are impressive stats, even more impressive to our friends in Africa is Ryan’s commitment to providing clean water with the TACKLE A TOWER FUND. For every 10 tackles that Ryan completes he will donate $1,000.00. This donation will help fund the building of Water Towers in Africa. Water towers will provide a basic need that we sometimes take for granted. Ryan and his wife Jennifer have 3 daughters and 1 son. Ryan enjoys fishing, four-wheeling and watching movies. Ryan you are a blessing from God. |
