Christian Kindness Ideas During the COVID-19 Pandemic

Kindness is always impactful. However, during these difficult times of the COVID-19 pandemic, kindness is all the more impactful as people all around the world are feeling scared, hopeless, and sad. For Christians, adding the message of God's love and grace into our kindness has an everlasting impact.

Here are a few practical Planned Acts of Christian Kindness (P.A.C.K.) ideas that adhere to the COVID-19 social isolation guidelines. Make sure to include a Christian Kindness Card with each P.A.C.K. to infuse God's love into each act. These P.A.C.K. ideas are great to do for medical workers, elderly people, overwhelmed parents, and the homeless population - to name a few.

Let's dive in!

  • Create sanitation kits and donate them to a homeless shelter (include items such as hand sanitizer, antibacterial soap, reusable face masks, and nourishing hand lotion).

  • Make “happy trees” - tie small treats with Christian Kindness Cards attached to a tree in your front yard for neighbors and passerby’s to take.

  • Create a gift basket on your front porch and place treats and/or essential items in it for delivery workers to help themselves to.

  • Leave a thank you note and small gift of gratitude for your mail carrier in your mailbox.

  • Lightly tuck a flower under a car windshield wiper at a grocery store, gas station, etc.

  • Decorate the front windows of your house or business with encouraging messages of God’s love.

  • Drop off a prepared meal on their doorstep.

  • Drop off fresh cut vegetables and fruit on their doorstep.

  • Drop off groceries on their doorstep.

  • Gift restaurant or food delivery app gift cards.

  • Drop off essential household items (toilet paper, antibacterial wipes, etc.) on their doorstep.

  • Mow their grass.

  • Clean their gutters.

  • Pressure wash their driveway.

  • Make and donate masks to hospital staff.

  • Buy food from a local restaurant and donate it to hospital staff.

Share your P.A.C.K. pictures and stories with us at info@acts18.org or on our website so we can inspire, motivate, and encourage others to do the same!
